Here I have included the links to the very first three texts of which I read in their entirety, while I skimmed through additional notes I believe these links to be the most beneficial. The core objectives of these texts where to make me consider and think more on the topics of what is game design, the terminology of game design, the process of the ideation phase, what ideation techniques are used in the world of game design and a lesson in the different techniques that can be used in ideation. Game design is not limited to computer games, and yet there is no way to clearly define it as I learnt from the first study, there are only a few constants in the gaming industry and terms that stick, terms I didn't even know existed E.G. The rules of a game, the ineffectiveness of a game, the importance of good and bad idea's. I believe the terminology in this text to be quite effective upon understanding its meaning, it also makes me suddenly aware of simply how many rules truly do exist in some of my favourite games and makes me feel a lot more conscience of the rules I will implement into my games moving forward.
The second text was certainly a mouthful but I believe it to be a required mouthful, I never fully realised I subconsciously do a lot of the things individual game designers do to look for inspiration. It is told to us in chapters how the interviewee's of the text all of which game designers explore for inspiration and ideas in solitude through long showers, on walks to new places or simply a change of scenery. I have also searched for an come up with potential ideas in such scenarios, as well as through listening to music before bed or cycling. In fact I even came up with and recorded an idea for a game as I cut my way through the texts while listening to music. The ideation phase can be a very important step that doesn't even make it throughout the design process and yet I believe I have gained an encouragement in my ways of ideating, as well as a very clear message to bounce my ideas afterwards.
Finally the many ideation processes established by the last text are quite unique. I never thought of these exercises and I believe outside of brainstorming and my individual ideation techniques I would like to try my hand at some of these new ways during the development of my game such as the reverse and put ideas.

After reading all those articles, my first thought was exactly the same- oh my lord! lol So many new words and lots of new information.
Like you said, reading about game design has many rules and knowing them should help us make our video.
You mentioned the individual ideation techniques like reverse and put ideas and I think it will be very interesting to try it myself.

My thoughts exactly on the readings, It doesn't help as well that sometimes they contradict themselves when explaining things. I was the same as you that ideas really do come from anywhere and you really never know when inspiration is going to strike
