Research-
When it comes to future technologies that interest me, the convergence of AR, VR and MR has a lot to research. The introduction of the oculus quest 2, Vive and steam VR headsets of recent design have been rolling out with inside tracking, allowing the user to use a feature known as pass through mode where even with the headset strapped in front of them keeping them in a VR environment, the ability to use camera to allow room tracking means the headsets can create virtual boundary's for the user. What does this have to do with AR and MR? The simple answer is with this technology not only is AR readily available but its already being used in conjunction with VR to create these virtual boundaries and overlay them in your room, add an external camera and a PC and you can project your real body into games such as Beat Saber. This revolutionary technology in today's market is solely for the use of room scale tracking, but I cannot see this staying the same forever, it won't be long before you can strap on your VR headset, buy and make a Lego set, place this virtual Lego set on your real world windowsill and then take a virtual selfie of yourself beside the Lego set to send to friends.
Pokémon Go provides an introductory glimpse into the Mirror World concept and its massive potential to unite people in real action.
